2020 hasn't been a great year for weddings worldwide… But Covid-19 didn't stop adventurous couple Lucretia and Jayme, instead they wanted to make the most of a shit situation. The gorgeous young couple got engaged the weekend before NZ went into Level 4 lockdown so they used this that time to think about what was really important to them. A wedding wouldn't have been right without their overseas family so they decided to screw waiting until the borders opened and they booked their Queenstown winter elopement to happen 3 months from their engagement! They wanted a fun, romantic and intimate day together that encapsulated romance, adventure and their dream of a literal winter wonderland wedding!
Their wedding day had fresh snow, bluebird skies, 2 helicopters to fly us to The Remarkables for their sunset ceremony, awesome wedding vendors involved and of course their parents to witness (who were smart enough to bring mulled wine!). I couldn't believe how lucky we were to be up there with one of the best sunset's I have ever witnessed! After being in lockdown and not shooting weddings for 3 months, it brought tears to my eyes and really made me realise how much I LOVE my job especially when it's adventuring on mountains with a fun loving (and crazy good looking) couple!!
Thank you so so much Lucretia & Jayme for having me capture your unreal day, it's one I will never forget and I know you will also cherish these amazing photos forever!
