When Renee & Mark first booked me they had me locked in for covering their whole wedding day, my photo booth booked, the works. Then after a couple of months of planning they emailed and said they have done a 180. They didn't want to have a big wedding the following Summer, instead they wanted to elope this Winter. I was stoked as I love helping to plan elopements. You can pick the best time of day for photos, theres no hurry in returning to your guests, and the day is purely about your love (and epic photos). We planned to fly to Fog Peak in Wanaka because there was a good chance they would have snow in early May. We couldn't of been luckier with the weather. It snowed heavily the day before so the peaks were not just dusted in snow, they were covered. It was a beautiful blue sky day and as a result we got the most amazing sunset I have ever seen during an elopement. Renee and Mark were such legends trudging through the knee deep snow in their wedding outfits. They were keen for anything to get awesome mountain top photos and it defiantly paid off. Not to mention Renee was 20 weeks pregnant!
Thanks so much Renee & Mark for inviting me along to capture your stunning day. I will never forget driving the hour trip home in bare-feet because my shoes and socks were so soaking wet from being so unorganised after a snow dump and not having my snow boots!
