The historic Eichardts Hotel & Bar is a Queenstown landmark. It has gone from lakefront Woolshed in 1859, growing up, I knew it as the local pub my friends parents owned, to now, the striking Eichardts Hotel that I had the privilege of photographing Katie & Myles Wedding at. Being a local and watching it evolve over the years, it was a venue that I always wanted to photograph a wedding in and given that amazing iconic Queenstown view, it did not disappoint.
Kate & Myles are local real estate agents and I met Katie while doing photos for their work a couple of years earlier.
They got engaged and planned their wedding in only 2 months! because hey, why wait?! It takes a very organised bride to be with support from Queenstown best wedding vendors to pull that off!
They had their ceremony on the Eichardts Penthouse balcony which has Queenstown best waterfront view! For the bridal party and couple photos we got some photos with the iconic building, and because it was Winter Pride week in Queenstown, it was lit up with rainbow colours! Once the sun went down we utilised the Penthouse view for some more photos before heading to reception, downstairs at The Eichardts Restaurant.
Thanks so much for having me guys, it was an honour! xx
